Administrative buzz phrases

In my inbox just now after a meeting was cancelled: “…give everyone found time.”

And as often “ok, that’s all we’ve got so we’ll end early and give you XX minutes of your day back.”
In my experience found time is the result of meeting participants actually staying on topic rather than going off on tangents that stretch a 15 minute discussion into an hour long meeting.

Be the best you.
so stupid and gets our company nowhere...

Ok one more. When you tell someone thank you, they respond with, of course!. That really bugs me, just say You're welcome.
This right here. I honestly believe that always saying please, thank you, and you're welcome, has gotten me further in life than my degree I never used. On the flipside, I cannot believe how few people in corporate American are actually courteous with manners like my Mom and Dad taught me. I'm 50 if it makes a difference.

Referring to our shop guys (and gals) as “resources” . That would send me to the moon mostly because prior to becoming their manager I was a shop guy and these were/are the people making the money for the corporation. I never once used that term.

Oh man, nothing makes my blood boil like getting a chat or email that starts with...

"If you'll recall..."
"As stated on..."
"As a gentle reminder..."
"Per my previous note..."
"Etc..."

I have coached my folks for years not to ever let me catch them talking to anybody that way. Condescending and rude!

Safety is our first priority !
Until the budget runs out or production is slipping.

As a counterpoint:
If they answered the question in a timely manner this wouldn't have been a problem. I dealt with a crapload of mid level management that expected everyting right now, but couldn't answer time sensitive questions (that threatened the very delivery they wanted) to save their lives.
