looking to pick up a new tikka 6.5 prc while this rebate is going on. My local sportsmans has some in stock. Any idea if there is an accuracy difference in the factory t3x fluted (sportsmans warehouse exclusive) vs regular factory non fluted t3x? @Formidilosus

all input appreciated

same same bro i like the fluting myself all have shot well but for me the fluted barrels seems to shoot that little more constancy and yes you can cut into the fluting and get them threaded if needed.

interesting thanks for the feedback. I wonder what would cause the fluted/superlites to shoot a bit better. I would have assumed the opposite.

No clue bro, all of mine have a can on them and all shot great except one 708 i had that thing was a bit of a dog compared to the rest wouldn't shot anything better than 1.25 for 5 shots. Bit of a tikka slut myself.

No functional difference between them.

Grabbing onto an old comment here - I'm trying to learn more about cutting and threading my factory fluted 6.5C super lite. Is there anymore context you could share? I am still reading up on the forms also.

Another situation among many in the gun world where a theoretical possible difference gets blown absurdly out of proportion and people think it matters in the real world.

Plus tikkas are straight flutes, which in that same theoretical world is better
