AAC 5.56 77 gr OTM

Y'all just aren't used to South Carolina style.

I ordered some of the 77 OTM’s and TMK’s. TMK’s averaged 2660 and the OTM’s averaged 2550. The OTM’s were pretty inaccurate out of my rifle which was a DD M4V7 Pro, about 2” groups at 50 yards. I have some freedom reman 77 BTHP that averaged 2640 and shot 4 or 5 .75” 5-shot groups at 50 yards. The TMK’s were about .75” at 50 as well. All of the OTM’s went bang which is fine for me, bought them for training and pig shooting sub 100 yards, not precision shooting.

What BC are you all using (g1 or g7) for the 77 OTM? Website lists .362 g1 but figured I would check with those of you that shot to distance with it already what you are seeing.

I used that BC and chrono and it worked fine and trued it as well at 576 yards but it was the same as Shooter predicted and shot rocks out to 906. 1.75-2MOA ammo for me.

The 77’s did not shoot well in my Tikka. They shoot OK in a savage with a Shielen select match barrel. Overall won’t buy them again. I’ll burn up what I have and compare price of the ACC 75. Blacktip vs the ADI

Yeah, I didn't mention I won't buy them again in my post above.

I won't buy them again.

I shot around 1500 of them in 2 lots.

It seems like they changed something in the 77 gr otm. They used to shoot pretty good in my tikka. But the last couple boxes shot like garbage. I was pretty impressed with the aac 75 gr bthp though. They were pretty consistent out to 500 yards.

For what it is worth, I just got an ammo can of these and it is pretty tough to get the bolt open on my .223 ruger american. I will be shooting the rest of them through my ar.

Their newer stuff was downloaded and slowed down to fix the pressure issues.

My go to 77gr is Badlands in the NAS3 cases. Sub 1/2 MOA out of my 20” AR when I manage to do my part. Spendy, but it performs.
