Awesome write up! You are truly a gifted story teller...

Mr. Stid, I do have a gear related question..

Are those Ribz you are wearing? If so, how did you like them? Did they interfere with the Gunbearer?

Thanks again for the story...

Yes Sir, it is the Ribz Chest Pack,, I really like it. Use it quite a bit. Works fine with the pack and Gunbearer as you see. Only thing I don't like about them is the darn straps get tangled easy. My Swaro EL 10x42 ranging fit along with my GPS, Camera, gloves, hat etc.. I think it has a 1000ci of storage. Nice if you drop the pack because you still have possibles close at hand. I can keep snacks and a collapsible water bottle all handy and don't have to drop my pack to easily reach them. It zips open quickly and I can access my binos quickly and drop them back in keeping them clean and dry. I run the home made neck strap on my binos through the straps to act as a dummy cord so to speak so I don't drop or leave them laying somewhere.

Can be used as a day pack as well, before I started using the Ribz, I used an Alaska Guide Creations Bino Chest Pack, like it alot, but wanted more storage up front.

I also like that I can move weight forward and counterbalance the load on my pack and move some of it forward, puts less stress on my back.

I'm going to try to modify the strap system on my Ribz, might try to use the straps off my Guide Creations pack and use it on the Ribz,, will post up if it works out.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed our story.

Happy Holidays

Last question, I promise! What size are your Ribz? I don't want to get too off track from the op of the thread...

Thank you Mr. Stid for all the information.

Got her Ram back and put up. Dave Winney of Frontier Taxidermy in Valdez did an amazing job.

I showed my wife the last picture of your trophy room and said that's what mine should look. Her reply, "well I guess you're gonna have to start killing more things big enough to mount".

Challenge accepted!!

Loved your story and the fact that your wife got her first ram just made it sweeter.
That's a great trophy room.

Enough memories there to last a lifetime!

Truly awesome !!
