Ukranian Sniper - 13,000ft kill shot - New World Recrord

Clearly what they mean by AI assist is the video of this miraculous feat currently being generated by AI. It's going to be amazing when it finishes rendering.

Seriously, why would anyone still believe any headlines coming out of this conflict. Anyone remember the Ukrainian ACE at the beginning of the war that turned out to be a video game?

I would think that shooting those distances would move into the realm of complete computer control of ballistics/ scope DOPE and is beyond manually determined adjustments.
At those ranges, I wouldn’t think that there would be any, “ Ehhh….I think that data’s a tad off. I think I’ll add in another click. “

Yeah. I think its fully integrated with the shooter just handling trigger duty.

I wish you were right, but there’s already states allowing drones. At least for tracking. There was a thread on here recently with all these whitetail nerds geeking out over drones for their hunting, it’s pretty gross.
Can you link the thread?

I’ve seen some videos of guys using the thermal drones for finding dead deer, not entirely opposed to that.

I’m in favor of any technology that helps recover dead animals. After spending hours on the ground trying to find a deer I almost certainly wounded last year (never found any blood, but I saw him fall), I hired a drone to see if I could recover him that way. We didn’t find him, but did find every other deer on the mountainside.

It was obvious to me that using a drone with a thermal sensor would take a lot of the enjoyment and challenge out of hunting for me - as would using game cameras in real time - but I think they are good for finding dead deer.

I recently purchased a Bavarian Mountain Hound for tracking wounded deer (once she is trained, I may offer her services to my neighbors as well), but if people want to use drones for the same purpose, I am all in favor of it.

As a hunting community, we can eventually techno our way completely out of the concepts of “ sport “ and “ fair chase “ and there will be those who will try to justify it.
If I thought that, for example, drone technology would be reserved for retrieving only I’d be all for it. Unfortunately though, as a species, we ain’t that noble.

A person. Was also killed. Dad ? Brother son ? Too bad on this part
nope, it was a Russian soldier invading a country he shouldnt be in. Nothing said about it that i can imagine. Would you be sad if the russian troop was here in the US?

It says 2 Russian soldiers dead. With one bullet? Granted, that is a huge bullet...

And as for using drones to find "dead or wounded" deer - how many dumbass yokels will bend the rules " I was looking for a deer I wounded... needed a followup shot." You've met them right? Surely none of us but I don't trust about 75% f folks I see in the woods. Slippery slope
