Hey Fellas,

I just want to say thanks to the group for all this incredible information. I've been following this thread for a while and was trying to develop a load for my rifle using the Berger 175gr Elite Hunter and N570. I wanted to start with the GRT simulation first, which I did, but it took me a bit to get the 7PRC add on. Anyway, I think I've arrived at a good solid hunting load. I've been meaning to post this data over the last couple of weeks but I kept getting sidetracked with work and my kid's sports. Anyway here is where I'm at.

Rifle details:
Gunwerks Nexus
7PRC
24" Barrel
175gr Elite Hunter
Peterson Brass
N570
Federal 215M
COAL 3.388 (.025" Jump)

I took the load out to 700yds and it worked out well. I wasn't able to get group info at extended ranges but my hits were solid.

Thanks again!

IMG_5679.pngSd certainly wasn’t good, 72.5 grns still no pressure signs, this is out of a 22” barrel torn between this and h1000

I landed at 70g of n570 and a 180 eldm. 18” barrel right at 2835. This was a 8 shot group and some suppressor mirage lol
What did your CTBO end up being? Brass is prepped. Gotta find some 180 ELD-M in stock near me and plan to get this one dialed.

The biggest thing I've found with N570 and 7PRC is it really likes the case to be as full as possible. Groups are fine, but the SD/ES numbers don't really tighten up until the case gets really full.

Last time I shot it I got 3107fps with 73.7gr. SD was 6.5 across 5 shots.

I also shot 175 ELD-X with 72.4gr and was at 3077fps.

I did some load testing with Hornady 180 ELDM and VV N570 this weekend. These numbers are from a 24" barrel. 5 rounds at each powder weight. The 71 grain load grouped very well.

69 grains = 2873. SD 10.1
70 grains = 2912. SD 10.9
71 grains = 2960. SD 5.5
72 grains = 2985. SD 9.1

Anybody measure throat erosion yet?
Actively avoiding it actually. Ignorance is bliss lol

Once accuracy starts to degrade I’ll recheck my jump and see where it’s at. I documented where it was when it was unfired

Yeah, I hear you. I burned out .060 in less than 400 shots in my 7STW with 81 grains and 570.
I’m thinking and hoping 7PRC would be quite a bit better

How you feeling about that load? Any further testing? any worries about throat erosion?

I have had some success with N570 in my 7 PRC. 73.3gr and 73.4gr across multiple loads. No pressure signs with ADG brass using both large rifle and large rifle magnum primers. With the 175 TSX, I am getting 28 Nosler numbers.

For clarity, I didn’t run H1000 all the way up with the 180 hybrids. I found a load that it liked (67gr, 2.9gr under Berger listed max) with low SD and great accuracy and stuck with that.

I was averaging 2620 with that load and it shot great and successfully killed everything I shot at with it.

Switching to N570 I am averaging 2855-2860 in my 18” barrel (1.3gr under Berger listed max). SD’s still low and groups are still great.

I don't think I would’ve gained the 230fps if I’d run H1000 all the way up to pressure, but I also don’t think H1000 would’ve kept up with N570 in the end. Berger load data shows 100fps in favor of the N570 at max charge for both.

No I don't think you would have either. Maybe 50-70fps more though..

I did a quick test with my 22" rifle and was sitting at 2910 with 69g h1000 and 180 hybrid's.
69.5g was showing presure in my ADG brass. so in theory I could probably get another 100-150 fps.... that might be worth it

Obviously up to you but 2900 would do everything I’d need the rifle to do and then some. If it’s shooting good I’d probably stay with the H1000 and save your barrel some abuse. N570 can be pretty harsh on barrels from what I’ve read. I’ve elected to look the other way on that and just enjoy it.

But if you’re chasing speed N570 should give you a bump.
