It will be interesting to see what happens. On the SlickDeals threads many people are saying that they are getting UPS tracking numbers already, and that Amazon tracking is saying “Picked up by carrier” but when checking on the UPS site it simply says “label created”.

Even if this happens it would be thousands of occurrences and the credit card companies will sort it out especially at this volume.

Good info. I'm always curious what the angle would be. Getting a box of rocks would suck. This thing ships from Amazon directly, so I don't think that could happen.

Another possibility is that the seller was using FBA (fulfillment by Amazon). When looking into this for my company a while ago, they do stock your inventory for a while. But if it doesn't turn over, they hit you with a storage charge based on size. On bikes, that might be expensive. Maybe they misjudged demand and this is the fire sale. Although this looks to be sold by Amazon directly, so who's to say. But wow, that's a heck of a deal.

It says it ships directly from Amazon. I think you all will be pretty safe. If I hadnt just bought a new backpack, I would pick one up. The weight limit is the only thing that would concern me but for the price, worth the risk.

My wife ran the fulfillment for a sporting goods store. As soon as the label was created, they would mark it as "picked up" so they could say they met their less than 2 hour ship time. This was mandated by corporate to ship within two hours and to mark them that way. UPS and Fedex would only come once a day. If you ordered it one minute after, it sat there until they came back the next day but it said they had picked it up.

Got an email from amazon that my order shipped and delivery date moved from the 22 to the 15th.

The UPS tracking hasn't update yet.

I'm seriously thinking about buying a 2nd one to have another battery/parts bike.

The whole bike off amazon is cheaper than a battery of the company website
