6mm /.243 hunting success on Big Game

The kid logged the first two kills with 6 creed this weekend.

Ruger American Gen 2 22" barrel with factory brake, haven't figured out which can I want to put on it yet. Velo unknown, wasn't going to chrono til I get 60 to 80 rounds through it.

Hornady Match 108 ELD M

Animal 1: 1.5 year old whitetail buck. 95 yards and slight quartered to. Entrance was just behind front shoulder and a little high. Exit was mid body. Caught top of lung, liver, and back of offside lung. Bullet diameter hole through hide and muscle tissue, opened up to 1.5 inches on impact with ribs. 3 separate exit holes, one larger and 2 smaller from shrapnel. Traveled 15 yards before expiring. Enough blood to follow but mostly due to location of entrance and exit, body cavity was full.

Animal 2: yearling whitetail doe. 110 yards and quartered away. Entered the middle of the scapula mid body and bullet was found against the hide mid neck. Dropped immediately. Middle of front shoulder was an absolute mess, unfortunately couldn't save any meat from the front shoulder or neck on that side. Front of onside lung was gone as well. Forgot to get a picture of the rib cage below the scap, I'll see if I can get one yet.

The bullet did exactly what it was expected to although I am concerned with the amount of meat loss moving forward. On the other hand I'm used to killing them with archery equipment so maybe I just need to expect that.

Sorry for the lack of formatting. Tried to add photos in the same order as description

What about 6XC?

GRT says .1969in³. I'm pretty sure that's just based on case deminsions but it looks snazzy. 2850 with a 108 ELD-M from an 18" barrel would be nice if real life can match the software.
6xc holds a lil less powder than the 6cm, lil more than a 6x47lapua. 2850 with a 108 from 18in barrel is stable mid psi load in the 6cm, I'm sure the 6xc would do it safely as well. The pitfall of the 6xc, is there have been multiple chamber versions, Tubb 6XC(designed around small base 22-250 brass) , then 6XC II(cip approved, larger base), dies are also a mix for different chamber designs. Some brass on market is designed for the smaller base of original 6xc chambers. Others are larger at base for 6xc II.

I'm running the original 6xc and with the norma brass I am spitting the 106tap which has about the longest bearing surface in the 6s at 2960 to 3070 in my few different length guns with all of them shooting 39.5grs of 4350 well enough to be competitive.
