Shot a cow elk the other day. 450 yds .243 ai 95 bt mv 3075 out of a 1:10 20” barrel with backcountry suppressor. Impact velocity approx 2199. First shot through shoulder made about a 2” hole entering body cavity hit front of lungs and shredded them. She took a few steps turned around and next shot was other shoulder. Caliber sized entrance, about a 2” hole in the first lung and 3” hole in second lung. In total less then 20 yds from where she lay to where first shot hit her. Sorry no pictures had the kids with me and at 10 degrees they were cold and I was in a hurry to get done.

Here are a few pictures I got after I got home of the shoulder that was hit. Entrance, and damage to the bone.

There's no way that puny bullet going slow went through that shoulder blade. It couldn't have had enough energy...

Has anyone had a change to test the 95 TMK in the 6mm ARC? From what I have read on here they are a great bullet, and I figure they would be well suited to the smaller 6 ARC case.

Loading a little longer COAL, I was knocking on 2800 but it was a little hot. I think 2725-2750 is where it’ll land.

I would think 18” barrel, and the ability to load at 2.3”, you should be able to get above well above 2700 with temp stable powders.

2.3 puts boat tail just above neck shoulder junction with the TMK.

If you want more than 2700fps, you probably want to be in the next size up 6mm cartridge.

Thanks. Usually shoot them with a 7 mag or 6.5x284. Got kids coming up that will be hunting in a couple years. All the talk on here are me want to see for myself what the little bullet would do. Didn’t doubt it from performance on other animals, but now I have my own evidence of it working.

So I have noticed that the 108 eld-m has more kills in this thread than the 105 hornady bthp. The 105 bthp seems to kill well though reading through the posts on this thread. Is there a particular reason why most guys prefer the 108? The bc seems very close between the two bullets, but the 105 seems to be a lot cheaper. Does the tip of the 108 eld-m create more reliable/consistent expansion? Which bullet is the better hunting bullet or does it even matter?

I might be in the minority but I prefer the 105 bthp. Have killed a bunch of deer and hogs with it. Had consistent reliable expansion every time

That is what I picked up from reading the threads and listening to the podcasts as well, poly tips provide more consistent/reliable expansion.

Newer to the 6 creed crowd but been impressed so far. Factory 108 eldm, killed 2 antelope, 1 at 180 yards and 1 at 500 yards, and two deer under 100 yards. I only took internal pictures of this one deer but all were similar. Pin size entrances, everything diaphragm forward destroyed, no exits but some larger pieces found under hide on offside shoulder on some.

I shot two more deer the same day with a 6.5prc and 143eldx, while it more than did the job, the internal damage wasn’t near what the 108eldm was….

I kill 60-70+ hogs a year here in TX. It's the best way I know of to test bullets, scopes, knives, etc.

I am waiting to get my tikka 243 back from the barrel threading. I have used the 308 TMK bullets and lost the better part of both shoulders when I caught this guy on the run. Legs straight back and slid into home plate.

I am hoping the 243 will do less damage when catching them in the shoulders. They might be a wild hog, but the younger boars and any size sow sure do taste good!

This is the 308 tmk. Looking to possibly load out some 243 eldm, tmk or the nosler balistic tips and see how they work out.

I might have missed it, but does anyone have experience with the 95gr tipped core-loc by Remington?
