I’m plus/minus on the educated coyote. I think it happens a lot less than people think. They just use as an excuse when they strike out.And many more educated! lol
Not necessarily. If they are called to, a lot, when coming-in, they may be wary of a motion decoy, and turn and bolt. I've stopped bringing it anymore. Just shove the X24 chest-height into some bush that gives me the best places off to one side of cross wind to over-look the FOV.Use a motion decoy upwind 75-100 yards. Its the best way.
We use one if we hunt a night with a bright moonI've read their night vision is actually pretty good so it may help on the ones we haven't spotted yet that are observing the field before coming in.
We’re hunting with thermal. I was talking about a coyote’s ability to see in the darkWe use one if we hunt a night with a bright moon
Same here, but on a night with a bright moon they can see really good, so we’ve been running a motion decoy by the call and try to set our tripods in a shadow out of the moonlight. We’re hunting with thermal. I was talking about a coyote’s ability to see in the dark
