Watched the clip of the moose thing and then against my better judgement I read the comments. Found this gem. Guys are literally arguing that arrows make wound cavities much larger than 22 cal bullets. Lol

I had to read a few comments. That lack of understanding bullets, cartridges, and terminal performance is strong in those comments. Wow. Im no expert but most of the commenters sure act like they are and it's obvious they don't know much.

I agree, I just remember reading something about it for deer, guess I was mistaken! I'm thinking more SST or fusion for mine.

Nah I know of a few people that have hunted deer and successfully used the 87s so it’s not a wrong choice there are just better ones as someone mentioned. The eldm is one of my favorites if you can find a weight that works with your twist.

Like anything else, it depends on impact velocities. When shot out of a 6X45, it works quite well. At .243 velocities, you need to get it out to about 300 yards before it hits the velocity at which it won't upset too much, too soon.
Because we cannot always choose the distance at which game will present a shot, as Form said, there are better choices.

Good point thank you! I'm open to all suggestions. I'll be scouring this thread though looking as well again now that I've got my rifle almost here.
