190 pound white tail. TooK two 90 grain ballistic tips. Lungs are mush and heart had several serrations but he needed two to finish.

Went out to chase a cow tag this morning. About hour and a half into my two hour drive, while wearing crocs, realized I forgot my boots. Idiot.

Said screw it, got to my spot, hiked about a mile out to a glasing knob at first light, 5 min into glassing saw this cow working up the draw. Ran over to a vantage, ranged 410, layed my rifle over my pack, dialed 1.8 mil, stopped her with a loud unrealistic mew, and squeezed off a round.

6mm creed with 6x super chicken, recoil was nil, watched her twitch a bit at Impact, ran 20 yards and tipped over.

Impact was slight quartered to, a bit high, maybe she walked a bit closer after i ranged. More likely I pulled it.

Killed a few deer this weekend in South Tx with a 20” 6creed
1st up was a 210lb buck
95gr NBT
Impact velocity was 2840 fps
Shot in front shoulder and dropped. Destroyed the shoulder and jellied insides. Offside shoulder was okay

2nd deer was 110lb doe with 6cm
95gr BT
2760 ish impact velocity
Shot about 5-6 inches Back from crease in shoulder (wanted her to run a little to help work tracking dogs). Exited right in front of 3rd to last rib.. didn’t run as far as we planned. She made it 40-50 yards and fell over dead

Shot with 6cm
Factory hornady black 105gr bthp (my rifle shoots these better than anything..even handloads)
Impact velocity around 2700 fps
Shot right behind shoulder. And a large exit behind opposite shoulder. Entrance Hole was tiny and couldn’t be spotted until cape was pulled back.
Deer ran 30 yard death wobble and tipped over. Very impressed with this bullet

Texas buck, 200 yards. 108 ELDM out of a 16” 6ARC. Both lungs were complete jelly, barely nicked top of the heart. Went 40 yards, paused, went down in sight. Caliber sized entry, golf ball exit. Pretty cool to watch the impact at 200 with the mild (and heavy) 6ARC

Just wanted to interrupt this thread to tell you that this rifle looks extremely well thought out. Very impressive setup.

Daughter took her first mule deer with her savage .243 handloaded 87 gr vmax at 3200fps mv. First shot was 310 yards broadside. A little farther back than I would like. deer walked over the hill. Second shot bedded at 100 yards 3” behind the shoulder. Chest cavity was complete jelly, neither shot exited. Deer made it less than 50 yards from first shot when he decided to lay down. I feel that the explosive bullet helped create better damage on the initial gut shot
Leading him to bed down in short order. I am going to use the same rifle on a whitetail doe yet this season for testing and jerky.

Just wanted to interrupt this thread to tell you that this rifle looks extremely well thought out. Very impressive setup.

I appreciate that comment. I went with the proof steel barrel and with that ATACR it’s about 13lbs. Little heavy for backcountry stuff but I may swap my AB raptor onto it and lose the bipod and to make it about 10lbs and take it on backcountry hunts.

Shot my first Muley at sunset the last night of a very slow Colorado 3rd rifle hunt. 108 eldm from a 20” 6CM

517 yd ~ 2215fps impact

Watched the impact and him buck like a bronco. Sent a 2nd round while he was running but it was a clean miss and wasn’t needed.

In and out decent blood trail. Golf ball exit and good damage. Maybe 50yd to run.

Approximately 1,940fps impact velocity. No bones hit until exit side rib. First shot was very rear lobe of lung. No upset at this point.




Then it caught the very front of the stomach. Look to the left of the knife tip and you can see the hole into the stomach.



Came out through the edge of the liver, and the other lungs rear lobe and is showing signs of yawing (tumbling), breaking a rib on exit.


Exit side shows a near perfect sideways bullet from yawing.





Second hit was through lower neck, no pictures unfortunately. The elk fell at that shot, started tumbling down hill, then at some point stood up generally quartering away, and the third hit angled through the femur and lower spine. The bull dropped at this shot and laid still with his head down for a few seconds, then tried to lift his head again, and a final shot was out into his neck.

Femur/spine impact. This was approximately a 4” diameter wound channel.
