So I have a .243 barrel being fluted and cut to 20” right now it’s a 7.5T.
I was wondering what your thoughts are. I smith has the 6prc reamer already I would have to buy the 6um reamer and gauge if I went that route.
I’m hoping to run the 108 eldm or the new 116 TMK . what’s everybody’s thoughts between the two and which one would you go with? Also, if you have any real world experience on velocity comparison with the 20 inch. Thank you

Performance is a difference in velocity based on the powder capacity.

How fast do you want to spit the bullet?

The PRC or 6 UM 30 are load and shoot. PRC is a bit easier to find components and dies.

6 UM 40 is max velocity.

Don’t go below 20” is what I hear with UM.

I wanted to build a 6 prc but it was easier/quicker to get everything for the 6um. Reamer was in stock, dies were in stock, brass was available.

If your smith has a 6 prc reamer you'd need a pretty specialized use case to justify the extra money to buy a UM reamer. Does the UM 40° beat a prc? Yes but by how much at what cost is worth asking. I went through the same questions and ended up with a 6 prc for what its worth. No shade on the UM though they have built a great ecosystem.
