Since you live in a 6mm minimum state I’d honestly just buy a Tikka in .243 with an 8 twist barrel. The factory 20” stainless cerakoted threaded 5/8 barrels have been hammers for me. That’s a decent length to average good velocity while not being too long with a suppressor on it.

Buy that gun, throw it in a Rokstok when they become available to order again, buy a suppressor for it, get some UM Tikka rings, properly mount up a scope that actually works, buy a bunch of factory ammo with heavy, high BC bullets and shoot the piss out of that thing.
Awesome thanks! Shooting the piss out of whatever I get is my plan. I live in the mountains and can hike/drive from my house and shoot in lots of varied terrain.

I may have typed it incorrectly, but I live in a .22 or greater state. Would you still get the .243 in that case?

My bad I probably read it wrong.

Can’t really go wrong with .243 honestly but the suggestion for an 8 twist Tikka .223 is also a great choice.

If you’re up for a bit more work you could always split the difference and have a smith re-chamber a Tikka to 22 Creedmoor for you.

With heavy high BC bullets out of a 22 Creedmoor it’s neck and neck for down range performance with 243 and 6 creed with less recoil.

PM me and I’ll send you some more info.

It says greater than or equal too .22. Or that’s at least the way I read it.

The 100s are super accurate for me
I’m really tempted to load up some reduced loads in my .260 Rem with these and see how they do in gel.

I’m also really tempted to load up some super hot loads in my .260 rem and slap some deer and elk with them.

But then I’d have to go back to reloading ammo. Ew.
