Another vote for the Swede! Like many Swede owners, I like to be different.... and reload.

I had a Kimber Montana re-barreled and trued up earlier this year with a #2 Pac-Nor, 22" tube in 6.5x55, 1:8" twist. My max hunting shot distance is 500 yards with less than 400 being ideal. The rifle is a tack driver. I've done minimal load development with 127 LRX's and 140 VLD's. I've only hunted twice with it, killed a muley buck in CO. Did it's job at 75 yards from a standing position with the LRX. The animal was DRT. I'm going to take it on a NV cow elk hunt next month. Depending on yardage and the situation, I would love to kill an elk with the Swede. My daughter also has a tag and she shoots this rifle well. Also, it weighs around 7.5# fully outfitted. It's a great mountain rifle.
