6.5 PRC vs 6.5 CM? I currently use a 7 PRC, but looking for a lighter weight, lighter recoiling rifle dedicated for deer hunting.

The 6.5 CM has ubiquity in its favor; both in terms of rifles available and excellent ammo.

Whatever you do, suppress it.

I love my 6.5CM for deer and antelope. Light recoil, easy to shoot, great deer cartridge IMO.

I'd still vote 6 creed for deer sized game but a 6.5 wouldn't be a bad option if it was suppressed!
