Yes. We tried it. It worked but that was enough at distance. We did prove just holes in lungs kill game. There isn’t much energy or velocity left at those distances. The lungs at 400 and 500 yards just had a hole straight through. Just slight discoloration on the lung about the size of a 50 cent piece on the entrance and exit. Most of the bleeding was internal and the animal’s surprisingly went down fairly quick.

300 yards and under there is substantial damage and allot of blood loss on the exits. Under 300 yards I have had exits while hunting Mule deer with AR’s . Using rifles chambered in. 6mm-Grendel (95gr SST), 6mm x 6.8 SPC (90gr Accubond) and 6.8 SPC(120gr SST).

I got a complete pass through and a bang/flop on this buck with a 16” 6.8 SPC , factory Hornady 120gr SST load at 270’ish yards.

Good deer forsure! I keep telling myself I’m going to start shooting the ole high shoulder “light switch” shot but I haven’t been able to make myself try it yet. My issues on eldm have been under 100 yards except for a white tail at 200+ that didn’t lose a drop of blood with no exit.

What would be the min speed fragmentation for the 107 TMK ?
Out of a 12.5in I'd get 2100 with the 129 ablr; 2250 out of the 120 gold dot and probably 2350 out of the 107TMK with XBR.

Not sure about fragmentation - that’s tough to define - but upset/expansion should be good to 1800 for TMKs and likely as low as 1600. No data behind mg statement just pulling from what I’ve read / studied on TMKs for multiple calibers.
