6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

Finally broke down and ordered 130 TMKs.

Been using 143 ELDX and 147 eldm for a while. Good/decent results. Wanted to go 140 eldm but the 500 I got have brittle tips with some already snapped off in the box. Hornaday sent me a new box of 100 but I lost faith. If the tip sheers off flat with the bullet nose, I can’t see the bullet expanding much….

Also with my slower MV of 2500 in my 18” 6.5cm, the 147 didn’t expand as much as I would’ve thought/liked it would on an elk last year. Still worked just fine but was enough to push me to go TMK

I’ve been happy 3 animals so far with 130TMK, quick deaths. Bear,deer, sheep

Precision has been easy with 3 barrels all tikkas. 2-6.5CM 1-6.5x55

I don’t believe I am at pressure yet. But I would really like to see a little more speed. For a hunting only round I may push it this weekend to see

Damn I need to try N550. I did try N555 but it was too slow and didn't group terribly well. I'm a 20" CM shooting 147's and so far H4350 and Superformance are producing great.

I was 2702fps with 41.5 H4350.

I’m at 2656fps w 18” w out stepping on it.

I was at 2715 with 130tmk at 42.6gr h4350 out of 18” xbolt spr.

I’m at 2454 in the Grendel with the 130tmk with 28.7gr of Tac out of a Howa mini 18.5”

Wouldn’t hesitate to shoot whitetail at 400 yards with either

Good info thank you. I'm at 2625 with the same and a 147M in my factory Tikka 20" so it's a good reference. 45gr Superformance is coughing up 2680 fps at 81 degrees.

2800ish with 130's in a 20" Cm here using 42gr h4350. I tried eldm, tmk and vld's. Bergers grouped best and have been great on a few animals so far.

My Sig Cross in 6.5CM does not care for the 130TMK's, but really likes the heavier stuff. Last year I hunted with 143 ELD-X and it really likes them. But having time this year I'm working loads up with 140 ELD-M's, 147 ELD-M's, and 153 TMK's and Staball 6.5, H4350, and Reloder 16. Everything is really showing promise, wasn't seeing velocities I was expecting with Superformance, so it's out. I'm on a "vacation" with the better half right now, so hopefully when I get back I'll be able to finalize some results.

My sons tikka superlite that is cut to 21" and suppressed shoots 139 scenars at 2800 FPS with 43.5 of H4350. Was running around 2840-45 when he had the full length 24" barrel.

Hard to beat H4350 for the 6.5 creed
