6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

I’ll be getting there eventually. I’ve got a press, no dies yet, and I’ve been saving brass for years. Space is largely the confining factor, I just don’t have the ability to set up a bench where I’m living at the moment. Tis crap.

I use this for most of my reloading

What’s the best powder for an 18” 6.5 CM? I just ordered an sig cross 18”. I’ve got a pile of 140 ELDMs and a few lbs of reloader 22. I probably should bump down to the 130 tmk but what are your powder suggestions?

Can’t go wrong with H4350 or staball 6.5

I’ve found it pretty darn easy to get the ELDM and tmk shooting really well with h4350.

143 eldx continues to impress. 410ish yards from a 6.5 prc, not my gun, not sure on mv. Factory hornady precision hunter. Medium sized cow elk.

Shot was 1/4ing away, entry mid height, center of ribs. Caliber sized hole in hide, but almost immediately a 2” hole visible in the near lung.
Photo shows nickle sized exit in front of far shoulder, along with multiple frags in neck. Approximately 20” of penetration, more than I expected.

She took over a minute to tumble, which surprised me when I seen the size and length of the wound. Possible from most of the damage being done in the near lung?
