Holy cow Tony put a steel deer out there. I let my membership lapse cause I moved to Cookeville. I now belong to Dead Zero in Spencer, TN. I’m thinking about joining back to Strategic Edge.

They both have their benefits. Dead Zero uses Shot Marker system so the range never had to clear. Impacts on target are displayed on a tablet at the bench. Strategic Edge is nice cause you can pull your paper targets and file them for later reference. Plus you can go down range and spray paint steel to get fresh paint. Dead Zero also has steel but you can’t go down and freshen them up with paint.

I think someone earlier in the thread may have. I've got a couple hundred of them to try. I'll shoot about a hundred next weekend and run a few through animals this fall. I'll report back on how they do.

Maybe I am overlooking the results, but how did these bullets end up doing for you?

325 yards, 6.5x47 130 eldm. Doe dropped at the shot. Took the top off of both lungs and caught some of the spine. Last picture is the exit wound.

6.5 creedmoor 147 eldm, factory Hornady Tap. 230 yards slightly quartering away. Entered approximately third rib behind the shoulder, penetrated through the offside shoulder bullet caught underneath the offside hide.

265yds broadside, caliber sized entry 2” exit per usual. 143gr eld-x did it just right. 4th and final whitetail for my season.

Yes it’s a calf, but it was my 16 year olds first big game animal. And…. I told her not to hesitate if a cow came out with the bulls, which she did not! 147 ELD-M at approximately 75 yards. Bumped em out of a bowl on the desert at 30 yards. Mewed and they quartered to. Perfect shot, DRT.

It’s been awesome! Put my own tags on the back burner for the wife and kids but it’s honestly a lot more enjoyable! Boy has done well, have another one coming up next year and she’s a better shot than the rest already!

Boys 2nd buck, little 2x3 from this year. 147 ELD-M high shoulder at 103. Presented himself behind a 5-6’ sage brush in a bowl. Told him where to put it and he laid the hammer. Kid shoots laser beams!

New guy adding to this. Shot this buck at 370 yards with an ar10 in 6.5 creedmoor with hand load nosler 129 ablr. Can see gun in the background. Was a quartering away shot and complete pass through. Muzzle velocity was 2650.

6.5x47 130 eldm 175 yards. One lung had a 1 inch hole and the other one had a 3 inch hole. She ran about 50 yards.
