22LR Bolt Gun - Action Recommendations

I just bought a Tikka T1x (Roughtech, 16") today! I have had over a hundred Scouts and Royal's in my cart for the past few months. I love the Royal, but that 1/2-20 thread kills it for me!

I feel a lot of relief ordering the Tikka. It has everything I want and I really like the mags too. I can mount my scope with Talley 1-piece rings (my favorite) instead of dealing with 11mm dovetail rings or a funky rail. It was actually shopping for the rings for a CZ that put me over the edge today to get the Tikka...

I got my first 22 can this week and only have semi-autos to shoot it on. Can't wait to get a bolt gun to really let these subs shine!
Subs out of a bolt action 22 are awesome. I’m not sure if the tikka has a tighter chamber or what but I only shot mine suppressed and it would get so dirty that it would hardly run after only a hundred rounds or so.

My other 22s don’t get that dirty until I’m 500-600 rounds in.

I’ve had that happen a few times with my 457. Once carrying it across my back, muzzle-up, and walking about a mile, it shook so much gunk out of the suppressor that I couldn’t chamber a round when I finally saw a squirrel. And I don’t think it had more than 200 rounds since the last cleaning. I’ll probably carry it muzzle down in the future.

I also had it happen at the range when I put it on the rifle rack behind the firing line (muzzle up).

I need to go over and pick up my T1X from the FFL.

Anyone know if I flow through can (ie Huxworks flow 22 ti) might mitigate this issue?

I recently picked up a t1x as a trainer for my boy. Decided I was going to play with it and wound up putting a drastically overpowered scope on it and dropped it into an Oryx chassis and a new triggertech setup. Waiting on the suppressor to show up now. Wildly overbuilt for a squirrel gun but boy is it fun to shoot. My kid might learn to shoot on it at some point too.

I doubt it, the only way to mitigate it would be shooting some of the cleaner .22 ammo.
What is "cleaner .22 ammo?" All the rimfire ammunition I have ever fired has been pretty filthy. Some of the high velocity, copper-jacketed cartridges don't seem too bad (e.g. the 17 HMR), but at the cost for those, I'd rather shoot 5.56.

This is what I’ve seen, however I can’t comment on how well they work as I’m still shooting golden Remingtons through a pair of .22s from 1933 and 1947 that I’m not sure have ever been cleaned.
