I was recently gifted a horizon 22cm… (I know I’m a lucky guy😂😂…)

I’ve already got an 8twist 22-250 tikka that shoots 77gr tmk’s really well over h4350 and h380.

What’s everyone using for powder in 22cm to launch 77gr tmk’s?? Got Hornady brass and dies headed my way.

Have plenty of h4350, varget, n565 and Staball HD.

42.5gr of Staball 6.5 and Peterson brass gets my dad an average of 3070 out of a 16” barrel with the 77tmk. We ran it much faster but this barrel doesn’t like the higher velocity/pressure.

I have some data here for the 77

I’ve read through that thread over the year.. Lots of data and info to sift through. What are you using for the 77gr tmk’s?

I’m not anymore, but I was using 42g of h4831sc in a Peterson case. That combo made 3000fps in a 16.5” barrel and was very accurate.

Very destructive at that velocity. Almost too much so. There’s any her of animals that were harvested with the 77 and 22 creed speed and anything close is verily messy.

40 grains of h4350 gets me 3120 in an 18 inch barrel and sub 1 inch 10 shot groups. That’s a pretty spicy load. I don’t know that I’d want to push it much past that. This cartridge hides pressure really well. Close to that charge with a little bit heavier bullet was blowing primers out for me.

Foxes at 350-400 yards are ruint by 77TMKs from 22CMs. Like cantaloupe size holes missing. Not going to patch up for tanning the hides.
