.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

The 75gr ELD-Ms fueled by LVR just keep stacking things up. I got a rare pass through on a smaller pig yesterday (this was the second porker of the day.) Most of the time, the ELD-Ms enter and grenade.

This isnt a javelina?

Sorry if this has been discussed, but does anyone know if states like CO or WY will ever move away from their .24-caliber minimum on big game? I’d love to rebarrel my 6.5 creed to a 22 creed but I want a western hunting rifle that I can use in every western state (yes I know 6 creed would be the “easy button”.)

Zero chance that Colorado loosens that restriction.

Wyoming allows .22 for deer, antelope, bear(?) and requires .24 for elk. I don't see that changing.

They have no incentive or real pressure to change. The vast majority of people think .223 is for varmints and have no idea about the bullets most often used in this thread.

Negative. No javelina in this county. I shot his 175lb mom just before I shot him… he happened to stop for a “what was that?” moment to his demise.

It really is impressive how much that looks like some middle ground between a feral pig, collared peccary, and white-lipped peccary. It could pass for some freak of nature (but impossible from my understanding) hybrid.

Right lol. It looks alot like our javelina just with a lighter coat. The snout looks like every one I've ever seen. The coat is different for sure

It’s been a great December for the ugly gun (BCA bolt 223 w/ phantom 77tmk 2630fps). Shot this sow in Florida at roughly 120 yds DRT and this coues in Arizona at 220 yards. He gave a follow up shot after walking a few steps and facing the opposite direction so he got two 77 tmk. Made it 10 yards from sliding down the steep grassy face. I’m sold on this setup. I carry this gun everywhere and even as a backup while guiding. With the primary arms 3x optic I have shot rocks out to 900 yards for fun with relative ease. It’s also been a great conversation piece with both new and old shooters.
