Ah, geez. I just don’t think the .223 would have enough “knock down power” or the Spomer-inspired “down range energy” for a big old lizard like that! (Did I get it right, @PNWGATOR ???). LOL.IDK, lizards are tough to kill quickly, 12 ton ones are probably especially tough to kill quickly. From what I've heard, you want to hit them 1/3 of the way above those little arms.

Might be a long tracking job with no blood, but at least there should be big tracks to follow. You might need my dog.
Until that happens, the next project is a full frontal chest shot bear, but unfortunately this will have to be a black one, at least until after June 30th. I'm pretty confident of the outcome.

Not enough wallop factor if you're a Von Benedikt disciple. Those large reptilian species benefit from an increased frontal diameter, for a bit more authority on impact.Ah, geez. Hot stock tip:You’re good.
Go forth and fill your freezers in perpetuity.

No way, those things were probably more like turkeys, they’ll just flop around a bit if you brain themI bet like a headless snake striking or a bodyless snake head bighting, you can kill a T-Rex and it will still eat you. I've heard stories of crocks with their brains turned to mush trying to take a chomp.
Why was walrus pulled? It’s a sad day. The walrus and the chupacabra have left the building and the thread title.
This. I’m certain I saw a dead walrus. Why was walrus pulled?
Don't know anything about the walrus- didn't know anyone shot them till this thread. But it reminds me of a story. Why was walrus pulled?
They are referencing the title of the thread. The walrus is still in here, a few pages back.
I'm more curious why the poster didn't respond to any of the questions about it.
I was picturing that thing getting perforated by FMJs from a boat.
