Good day! I recently bought a 22 Creedmore from Horizon Firearms. I’m fairly new to shooting and a variety of factors influenced me to purchase this caliber that are probably too random and lengthy to post here. I enjoy shooting this rifle but what are everyone’s thoughts on long term acceptance/use of this caliber? Can we expect more manufacturers to offer this soon? I know this caliber has been SAAMI approved for around a year now and I believe Derrick from Horizon mentioned in a podcast that they were the exclusive distribution point for Hornady for two years. If this is correct can we expect more factory ammo and rifle options in 2026? Thanks for your time if you have made it this far!! Pic of new rifle attached because I really like it….

If horizon locked up the rights to have the exclusive rights to sale the 22creed I don't see it ever becoming a factory offering. I have one and think its my favorite but its doomed if no factory ammo available at big box stores.

If it’s at scheels I’d say it’s safe to say the exclusive rights have ended. My guess is it will slowly start showing up in the other big stores, and hopefully the popularity continues to grow.

Once the big manufacturers start chambering in it. It will stay. If Savage, Ruger, Remington, Winchester or Browning start to sell rifles with this chamber it stands a chance. It has to be multiple companies. Consider the SAUM and RUM offerings. The SAUM is dead for factory ammo due to competition from the WSM.

TMK there isn’t a competitor to the 22 CM that isn’t a wildcat.

I’ve had the itch for a year now but believe I can obtain similar performance with a 223 and custom loads if the shot is under 300 yrds.

That is good to know, when i built my creed there was only one option. Hope it come to the AZ store for pickup as far as Scheels its only available for pickup at the springfield IL location. Hopefully Hornady doesn't invest all their time and resources to the 22arc since that's their baby!!
