22 creedmoor vs 6 creedmoor for sub 600 yard Big game?

Just an update for the thread, went 22cm and its been alot of fun to shoot. Has a northern BC bull moose and muley buck under its belt this season and may get out for one more crack at blacktail before the 10th. Been shooting the 88eldm at 3075 from a 20" barrel and so far bullet performance has been good. Going forward this will be my kids rifle to learn and hunt with and will get used by myself for practise and blacktail although I wouldn’t hesitate to take it on my northern grocery trip again. I'm having an 18" 6 prc put together that will most likley end up being my everything gun, hopefully running the new tmk. Had I gone with the 6cm initially I probably wouldn't be building the 6 prc but I think in the end I'll be happier with both options and who doesn't like more guns? Both are tikka/ rokstock/ rs1.2 set ups so very easy to bounce back and forth. After using the 22cm for this season I just sold my trusty .280ai to fund the 6prc build. Shooting a maximized bullet in that gun is just more than I need or want for my uses and somewhere between a short barreled fast 6 or 6.5 will be a perfect all species gun for me in BC.

I like the 22 CM with a 1:7 twist shooting the 95 gn bullets. Better bc than the 6 CM shooting the same weight bullets. Jumping up to the 112 gn .243 bullets I went with a 240 weatherby with 1:8 twist.
Have you shot any animals with the 95gr?

Do you mean the Sierra 95gr HPBT (Sierra recommends 1:6.5...)?

No need for 6.5 with the 95 SMK …. 1:7 handles them fine at 22 CM speeds.

They shoot well in my 1:7.5, but haven’t taken them to distance.

Nice shooting. Are you shooting animals with these?

My 22 Creed barrels are 1:7 and have deep throats.
