Thanks Form. We'll see how they do in the 22-250. I look forward to trying them.
How did the 88’s stabilize in your 1:8 22-250 tikka?

I'm curious as well. Just picked up a Tikka 22-250 yesterday and 88s are my top choice. Thanks Form. We'll see how they do in the 22-250. I look forward to trying them.
Color me curious as well, on the doorstep of going down the same path, just putting together the parts/pieces.Thanks Form. We'll see how they do in the 22-250. I look forward to trying them.
The factory ones have a 1/8" twist right? I have been thinking about the factory 22-250 with the 88's.I've been shooting a factory tikka 22-250 with the 75 and 88 eldms recently and haven't had any issues, just lots of good groups and dead deer. Really like the rifle. 18" suppressed is a dream. Also fun to be able to shoot the 50 gr stuff at warp speed for cheap practice
According to Euro Optic Tikka's still making both 1:8 and 1:14 22-250s, so you just need to be careful in making sure you're picking up the 1:8. I picked one up and waiting on some Lapua brass to work up some loads with the ELD-M 88s as my top pick. Hopefully they shoot! The factory ones have a 1/8" twist right? What are you loading under the 88s?I've been shooting a factory tikka 22-250 with the 75 and 88 eldms recently and haven't had any issues, just lots of good groups and dead deer. I bought them from Copper Creek; don't load my own. I haven't chrono graphed them but the 88s are definitely not moving super fast. Easily my favorite rifle to carry and shoot regardless. What are you loading under the 88s?
Mine cut to 19” has been shooting 88’s well too with 4350 but my dope shows them moving a bit slower than I hoped… new chrono will be here soon so I’ll know for sure.
The rifle is a joy to shoot and carry with a can on it though. Super happy with it.
Mine is an old T3 and I bought a factory 1:8" barrel from UM. They cut it to 18" and threaded and I had my local gunsmith swap it on for me. So yes it's a new one but as mentioned previously they make 2 options from the factory. Not sure what the point is of the 1:14" since mine put 10 rounds of 50 gr vmax into a 1" circle at 100 yards. I've never done that with any other rifle before. The factory ones have a 1/8" twist right? I have been thinking about the factory 22-250 with the 88's.
