.22/.22 Mag Rifles

Not to hijack this thread. But why didn't the 10/22 mag catch on?

I'm not sure. I had an early one and it was not nearly as accurate as the Marlin bolt gun I had at the time so I sold it. Maybe that was not unusual?

Anybody shoot the tactical solutions 10/22 rifles? I was considering just a barrel for my ruger 10/22 but decided I'd like to leave it alone as it was a gift when I was young. The tac sol options seemed reasonably priced, as I've seen them on sale multiple times.

I bought my son's Savage 93 back in the day at Wal-Mart. It sports a fixed 4x Bushnell rimfire scope and is incredibly accurate. Have had some mag issues, but other than that he has a tackdriver for $150 all in.

I have a CZ 457 that is a recent acquisition. So far, I really like it. A Tac-Sol semi-auto with red dot rides in my truck just in case opportunity arises, but the CZ is the designated hunting rifle.

Just posted that I have one. Mine is the TD version and I really like it. You do need to test your ammo. Mine did not like hot Browning stuff, so I went with old reliable CCI Mini-Mag HPs and haven't had a problem since.

Cz 457 mtr, have shot some ground squirrels out 170+ yards so far, steel to 330 and in. Been a fun shooter, daughter has shot it on squirrels as well.

I run a 16.5” T1x in .22LR with a Hawke Vantage IR 4-12x50 set for subsonic 22’s. I generally shoot CCI SV or their subsonic HP’s for small game. Target shooting I get pretty ridiculous groups with SK Rifle Match for a factory $600 rifle.

Hard to go past a CZ for getting the most put of one rifle, I have a 455 with .22lr, .22WMR and .17HMR barrels with other rifle options in .22lr like a Marlin 7000T semi auto.
So my CZ mostly wears the WMR barrel and I see switching barrels as a great excuse to get to the range and put some mags through it as I sight in again.

I have a 457 ProVarmint with a Timney HIT trigger, DIP 25moa rail and an Arken SH4 on top. To say it shoots well is an understatement!

I picked up a Begara BMR last winter for shooting coyotes at night over my bone pile. It’s a nice little rifle on the cheap

How has that been holding up? Got the itch grab one.

Ruger American Target .22 mag suppressed. I had a matching .22lr, but let somebody talk me out of it.
