2025 Stone Glacier

I just ordered shmedium Praxis pants to replace my 12 year old, worn out but beloved Kuiu Attack pants. I'm hoping they are just like my old Attacks without the need for a tailor. I'll report back soon. I thought I was done buying expensive pants...
I picked up the Praxis pant this afternoon. It will take a few seasons for me to give an in-depth review. But I'm excited to say with their unique contour waist they fit great. I'm a guy who doesn't skip leg day or cardio day, so this is a rare find. The inseam is near perfect and the waist is comfortable with or without a tucked-in shirt.

Regarding noise, the material is much better than the DeHavilland Lite. I will bow hunt in these pants. They aren't quite as soft as my 12 year old Kuiu Attacks, but they are very similar to my 5 year old lightly worn Kuiu Attacks. I think with time they will feel like durable pajama pants just like the old Attacks.

I would keep wearing Attack pants if these Praxis didn't exist. But my thighs required me to size up to 32 and then alter the waist to 30" and hem to 32". Now I need Stone Glacier to make a pair of blue jeans with the same fit!

New soft drop from SG frames I haven’t caught discussed - 23” Krux is an option now on the website I noticed. That’s a good addition.

New Fieldstone color with muskeg and tarmac below.

The headwall is quite flexible and soft for having a membrane, extremely quiet. The finish work in the chin area is quite good on this one. The grid liner is very open. I ordered one to have in hand to see what I thought. Late archery season this piece could be very nice of you’re wearing it all day, similar to a soft shell. Hard to know its temp ranges without using, as it is unique. Seems like it could get too warm with a mid layer unless you were moving slow.

For November elk hunts would you pick the Cirque or Headwall?

I’ve been using an ambient + m7 past few years in Nov. This year I used a hyperdown parka over when static.

I used the headwall for a cow damage hunt a couple weeks ago and it worked well with ambient hoody under, as substitute for M7. More breathable? I’m not sure honestly.

I like the cirque for outer layer when it’s stupid single digit cold, but honestly do not use it a ton. Used it in SEAK where it was crazy wet, really shined up there.

Pretty non-answer but I’d have a hard time not taking a real shell when there’s snow in the forecast. Got caught out in a storm this year and spent all day in an M7 during the pack out. Kinda my go to in Nov.
