Nice bull.. congrats

Heard 50-60 bulges opening couple of days.

I was in the greater Colorado wilderness area above and below timberline in the aspen firs.

This guy bugled just enough to end up dead. He also had a friend in the next draw that liked to say where he was at, but I was solo so he lived.

Shot him Aug. 31st ID.

I saw you when you were pulling onto the highway. Nice work.

Today is like a whole new place. There's multiple bulls going off.

Got into a good herd deep in NW Wyoming after packing in 8/31, immediately locating them and making the move on 9/1. They were going crazy. Multiple herd bulls bugling constantly and late September type behavior. It was the most awesome display of elk activity I have ever seen.

Bulls were screaming sept 2nd in southern Idaho. Seen a bull bugle sept 1st but never heard since we were watching through a spotter. Killed my bull sept 3rd after listening to him bugle and thrash brush. Heard 60-70 bugles in a 24 hour period from 14ish different bulls.

I'm dying. I'm literally sitting on a mountain waiting for the wind to do it's thing.....There's bulls going off and it's shaping up to be one of those days where the wind won't blow one direction for more than 10 seconds. Good news is there is nobody else around.

I'm sure the weather is helping. Good luck! My son will be out for the last 2 weeks. Will be packing in to get away from all the people. Hopefully he'll be into good action. I did see an absolute slammer with cows in the unit, but on private surrounded by private so I don't think he has any reason to go 1.5 miles back onto public.

We are leaving for Wyoming on the 15th. Have buddies in WY, UT, and ID updating daily. Makes work nearly impossible.

Central Colorado on the east side of the divide bulls have been popping off pretty good

East Gila NM had some bugling according to step dad who was mulie hunting down there. I heard a couple bugles Monday on the opener in CO (prompted by me, i heard zero bugles from bulls just sounding off on their own). Crowded with hunters as usual .... go high and go nasty.

Same here in central mo. I’ve got a 2.5 mile loop here on my farm I hike and practice calling. Only thing that answers is coyotes and one of my roosters….
