2024/2025 Trapping thread

Got gifted 3 beaver carcasses yesterday, got them processed this morning for bait for this coming season.

Set a little aside for beaverrittos?

These were a nuisance summer catch, honestly, they smelt disgusting, so they should work great for bait with that aroma.
If they come out of cold moving water water, I'm game, but not these.

A badger dug into my coop a couple months ago and put me outta the chikkin biz. Was missing a hen a couple nights ago when I locked them in. Couldn't find my conibear and had a #2 monty handy so set it. He came back last night....

If anyone wants to trap some problem beavers I need help in central (Buena Vista) Colorado, in an irrigation ditch, on private land.

If any of you boys know someone who does this type of stuff shoot me a pm.

Thanks!!!!

If you watch for some used traps on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist, for not a lot of money you can pick up a few traps and take care of it yourself. Trapping is great fun too!

Thanks man I found an old beaver trap my uncle had so may give it a go. Have to Ck the Colorado regs to make sure I got all the boxes checked to be legal.

Feel free to ask away if you do give it a go and need some pointers, lots of knowledge on here to give you a head start.
