Unfortunately on the army base you have to check them in on the scale to collect for full body weight. You can gut them and that’s it.

Freezer is going to be full now. The rest of my tags will be harvested and donated thru a program to the local food bank. My wife is doing the same; so probably donating 4 does and maybe a spike.

As for the hunt; this spike was harder than expected. I first saw him a few weeks ago when my wife was the shooter. I have tried catching this spike four times since then but he seemed to have me figured out. He slipped up this morning and gave me a decent broadside shot.

Anything over 350 is not for the faint of heart or unpracticed. 500 is a poke, nice work!

First deer! My 8 year old son was able to harvest this in PA with his .243!
75 yard shot. Went about 30 yards and He was able to watch him fall in the scope.
