Got my first archery buck! 🤣
General Idaho deer that I wouldn't have killed if @robby denning hadn't all but called me names for wanting to wait till rifle season. He went 216.5 with the fuzzy stuff and 214 1/8 stripped. I gave him 3 inches for a tine he broke falling off a cliff. I have hours of video or him and I'm confident it was at least that long.

This is when I first found him at the end of July. He grew a bit more after this.

I'm glad @robby denning talked some sense into you! Haha. Archery mule deer is such a darn fun hunt - especially for solo hunters. Love to see it man! Congrats again!

CO archery mule deer. Pulled the tag off the leftover list and planned on just hunting with some buddies. We hunted up high the first few weekends and seen some awesome deer but they were pretty spooked with all the people. 3rd weekend my grandpa tells me he found a “decent” deer on his buddies property. Had about an hour that evening so i went over there and couldn’t believe my eyes. Ended up goin 225 5/8. Not really the high country buck we planned on chasing but it was an opportunity that was pretty hard to pass up on!
