I have completed Nebraska's Upland Slam several times, but usually over the course of a few different hunts. This morning Boone and I headed to the sandhills to try and find a Sharptail for the slam. After bagging our sharptail and a prairie chicken early in the day, we drove 3 hours back south to hunt a wildlife management area close to home that I knew held pheasants and quail.

It took almost as much time driving as it did hunting, but we were able to pull off a late season Upland Slam, all on public land, all in the same day!
