That is an awesome picture. I lived several years in Rapid City and used to fox hunt in that area.

Found a few quail today and even managed to hit two.

Couple from this season. All of these are on public land in pa. The last pic is a 5 man limit. My dad is with my 8 yo female gsp in the one pic and the other dog posted is my parents 7 yo male gsp

Unfortunately in pa this is as good as it gets with no true pheasant population left. We buy a pheasant stamp every year with our liscense and they stock throughout the fall and winter with the proceeds. You can shoot hens here.

Got the little girl out for a Christmas ditch chicken shoot. She spent the first few years of her life as a field trial dog before she washed out so the pheasant thing is still pretty new for her. She’s getting the hang of it though.
