My 14 year old son got his second elk on August 15th. 320 yards off the top of his pack. It's a delicious old dry cow.

Looking at all these pictures makes me dream about next fall already and i don't even have a tag in my pocket yet

That reminds me, I need to put in for my cow tag.

Got my first western tag. Late season Wyoming cow elk! From Michigan. And gotta do it cheap as possible haha.

Took my wife on her first elk hunt in Colorado for 2nd season otc bulls. She was able to hammer her first bull at 860 yards. I was able to kill my bull the next day in the same canyon. 2 bulls in 2 days made for some sore backs but great time with the wife on the mountain!

Nice job getting it done in Colorado OTC. Hope you don't mind but I've hunted Colorado with my boys for 4 years without punching a tag (they were the shooters). Got a Wyoming General Rifle this year. Looking at Unit 86 but considering 67, 68 and seen you mentioned being there in an old post. If you're able to give any insight I'd appreaciate it. If not no worries. Can't pm you since I need more posts.

My first ever. Solo Idaho elk. I was in the elk the entire time and had multiple close calls on bulls. Morning of day 3, she gave me a great opportunity and I couldn't pass it up. So stoked!

That looks like a big cow. Nice going.

Congrats! I pulled this tag in 2019. I thinbk the odds are like 1:40,000
