Is it really August already!? The 2022 elk seasons are right around the corner. Here’s the place to share your photos, stories etc about your 2022 elk hunts with your fellow Roksliders!

Filled my early bull tag on a solo trip, extremely tough hunt with the lack of critters and the desert heat. I got lucky on my biggest bull yet. Can’t wait to get it back from the taxidermist.

My son knocked one down on August 15th. Tried uploading a picture, but the files are way too big, even after I scaled then down a bunch. Anyway his second elk and he's 14.

Got the picture under 2.25 meg and got it uploaded, see below.

Took my 8 year old son out for his first elk hunt (he’s hunted whitetails with me in Texas before) and ended up putting a cow down opening day of archery here in Utah. Glad to have meat in the freezer this early. Decreases the pressure to fill the freezer for other hunts…

Its always great to be with kids on early hunts .
