Got my first archery bull in CO last week. Very grateful for all of the helpful folks on here for the tips, advice, and community over the years. I think it’s a big part of the reason I’ve gone 3/3 on my elk hunts so far.

Filled my early bull tag on a solo trip, extremely tough hunt with the lack of critters and the desert heat. I got lucky on my biggest bull yet. Can’t wait to get it back from the taxidermist.
wow. Nice work!!!

New Mexico private land DIY. Me and my brothers bull. We had 2 bulls bugling up the mountain. My brother stayed back and called. Me and my friend cut the distance and spread out. The Bull being dragged came down the mountain running to the calls and came by me and stopped at 20 yds. Double lung with a rage and went 60 yds. I went down to my brother and told him to move up while I called and the 1 in the ranger finally came down and he shot it at 10 yds. 2 bulls 15 mins. Bada$$ hunt.

Dang!!! That’s some pretty serious action in a short time, and well managed by both of you guys 👍

… and, getting an archery bull out whole is something I’m a little jealous of… I can’t picture a realistic way I could ever do that, but it’s cool

Colorado OTC. Above timberline @ 11,000’, almost 5 miles in with an absolute awesome backdrop! The Herd bull she was with wasn’t a legal bull haha. Hunted for 8 days. Ran into so many people it was unbelievable. This was our 3rd different unit that trip. Colorado hunting for ya!
