A few of my favorite things.. Big bull, Good horses, and zero people. 22' WY general tag, solo hunt packed into a place that has produced a couple great bulls for me in the past years.
My first elk! Took 16 years to draw a NR tag in Wyoming. A family friend drew the same unit and we hunted 15 days during archery. I wasn't able to make it happen with a bow, but came back during rifle season and put the hammer down. This is going to be a tough hunt to top.
As my wife & i got up to this bull we noticed the huge cut on his lip & the broken antler piece stuck in his neck from a previous fight during the rut. He defiantly was a ole warrior. My favorite hunt to date as my wife was with me every step of the way.
I drew my first limited entry tag ever and my wife decided she would give wall tent camping in sub zero weather a go. We got it done with just the two of us. We did our best with the photo. We strapped her phone to a backpack and set a 10 second delay. It took a few tries but we love the memory it will give us.
Had 2 of my 3 kids get married this summer, both spouses had never been hunting before. They both came along on our family Elk hunt, was pretty fun to have everyone there!
