New weigh in at 276.2 so 7lbs in the last two weeks. I had a great week in the gym last week. Worked on the truck all weekend and the daughter gave me a cold Sunday. The cold put me down all this week so I didnt hit the gym at all. Somehow I still lost some weight lol. PS no I dont have the Rona.

Down another lb this week and the big lifts keep going up. I'm running 5/3/1 with accessory lifts tailored to my goals, and biking on some of the off days. I'm not religiously tracking everything I eat but overall keeping pretty close tabs on it. If the scale keeps moving I'll keep doing what I'm doing. It's good to see a few more people jump in on this thread!

220 on the scale this morning. Registered for the weightlifting meet for September - we'll see if I lift at 96kg (212lbs) or 102kg (224). I'd like to lift at 96kg, but I'd also like to continue getting stronger, and it can be real hard to do both a the same time. We'll see what I can accomplish before I start my 12-week train-up, which will happen early June. Will keep you all updated.

Just found this. I'm in.

36 years old, male, just shy of 6'.
15 Feb Weight - 244
27 Apr Weight - 223
Goal by Sept - a strong, lean 211

Some background. In January I entered a weightlifting meet in the 109kg weight class (240lbs ish). Did well, hit some PRs on the platform, but I want to be lighter. In September I hope to lift in another meet, would like to lift at 96kg (211lbs), and would like to hit PRs again. I also have a PT test due in September/October time frame, so I need to maintain the run as well. And then an elk trip with my brother in late October or November (depending on what we draw).

I just came out of a pretty intensive back squat program. Over the last 8 weeks, I increased my back squat 30lbs, while also losing 20ish lbs of body weight.

For my eating, I have cut back on the whiskey, and I'm pretty militant on intermittent fasting. Currently do about a 20/4, with one big meal and a snack in there. I work out at the tail end of my eating window. And then zero eating on days where I don't work out, which is Thursdays and Sundays for me. The nice thing about limiting your intake based on time is that, while I generally put quality foods into my body, if I want to have some chocolate, I have some chocolate.

Between the 20/4 and the full-day fast on rest days, I was concerned that I would lose strength, not feel well, not recover well, etc. I haven't experienced any of that. I supplement with a hefty dose of fish oil, some apple cider vinegar, and LMNT salts.

I'll check in here and post updates.

241 at the first of the year.
201 on the scale this morning.
Shooting for mid 190s.
6'3" and just turned 49 over the weekend.
Cutting out processed foods, carbs, sugar, really made a noticeable effect on inflammation and how sore my joints are after a hike.

So not a good update for 5/10. Up a couple pounds to 238. Actually was able to get a couple short jogs in last week along with walking and my normal lifting routine. Must have eaten a little too much crap. I also had a bad week with sleep for some reason so I know that didn't help any. Time to get back at it!

Week 11 weigh in, 133.4 up .4 from last week. Looks like its time to change things up a bit. Or work at it a little harder.

Peak weight: 235 at the end of 2020 spring
Goal Weight: 205, but I might keep going
Current Weight: 208

Getting there. Started out with 16/8 IF, but I've found I can obtain the same progress just by limited calories to 1500.

Since then, I've cut to 1400, and increase to 1500 on the days I jog for 20 mins. Honestly wondering if I could accelerate my weight loss by increasing calories. 1400/1500 is arguably too low for someone 5'9 210ish lbs, but it's working and been maintainable.

In review, I went from 222 to 208 between 4/9 and 5/9. That's about 3.5lbs per week with no exercise. Now that I'm bringing in cardio (for health, not for weightloss), I think I'll wind up increasing calories just to stay on the same trajectory.

New weigh in 273.8 so 2.4lbs since last report. Nothing new to report. Weight loss has slowed a little but Ive been fighting this cold for a few weeks which has slowed me down a bit. Im finally feeling a lot better.

New weigh in. I was getting cocky and my weight loss had really slowed down. Today I'm 270.8 so 3lbs down in 16 days. I have been sustaining my Keto diet just fine but I have been eating too much. I needed to get disciplined and start counting calories again. Im back on track now. Feeling good and strong in the gym. I got a hunting buddy of mine to start coming to the gym which is awesome. Hes very overweight and its inspiring to see him working hard.

Back story... Summer of 2019 double back surgery(3 in 5 years).
At January 2021.
Age:46
Height: 5'11"
Weight:217 lbs.
Goal by September 1st:190 lbs.
Current weight:204 lbs./205 lbs.
Workout 3 days a week. Lift for 1-1 1/2 hrs. Cardio for 25 minutes.

Increased amount of push-ups able to be done by 10 since January.(could do barely 4,now can do 14) Cardio has increased from only able to do high intensity for 8 minutes at start, currently doing 20 minutes high intensity and increased speed at which i do it by over 80%. Still a long ways to go before September but feel amazing and at this point the dad bod is almost non existent.

Im really getting addicted to my workouts lol. I just want to thank everyone for this thread. Its really encouraging to read everybody's posts and know that Im not the only one struggling. You guys are killing it!
