Punched my tag on the final day of archery elk season in Wyoming. Hunted 20 days (including halfs before or after work as a day). Health app on my iPhone says 197.1 miles and 51,410 total vertical feet.

Few elk steaks have tasted so sweet.

83 yard steep downhill shot. Double lung pass though into the tree. I wanted to post a picture of the bull but this picture shows pure emotion.

Colorado archery elk. I've never had to pack an elk out on horses before but it was certainly worth it for how deep I was able to hunt with no other hunting pressure.
