We spotted the 3x3 from yesterday he was being chased around by a coyote. Also a small group of does but no buck following unfortunately. Looks like another move.

While enroute to next location we've cut a group of 7-9 does and theres a 4x3 with them. It's got jimmy thinking! Wind is at our back though

It looked like they had bedded but the buck got up and pushed his does to the other side of the draw. He bred one and now they have layed back down. Jimmy's going to get in front of them and hope they pass by. Jimmy's phone went down hopefully he picks up service soon. For me its lunch time on the lookout

I’m about 200 yards away from the herd. On the backside of a saddle that they bedded below. There are 18 deer in the herd so with that many eyes I’m better off ambushing. Hopefully they come my way

The deer didn’t come over the top. They decided to head down the draw. Seen some coues bucks on the way back though! Right where I’ve shot my last couple deer.

Another night in 20's survived which brings up my two favorite pieces of gear so far for this hunt. The first is my kifaru 20deg center zip sleeping bag, I have been staying warm throughout the night. Second is hot hands, I hate gloves with a passion so these are saving the day. Honorable mention and what started out as a joke is quickly turning to jealousy is Jimmy's princess glassing chair from helinox.

Got my eye on a herd of does in thick cover. Hoping there’s a good buck with them

Man this has me jazzed. I'll be down there next week. Sounds like the rut is already on and water is available- awesome. Good luck

The coues pushed right on passed us pretty quick to the other side of the canyon and over the ridge. Sure wish they would’ve held up and bedded.
We’ll see them again
