I was up in the McCracken mountains in 16A, 16 degrees on Saturday. Didn’t see a single deer for 3 days of hard hard glassing some awesome country. Unbelievable.

Well the storm is moving in and the wind picked up. Poor jimmy was about to freeze to death so we decided to still hunt over a couple of ridges and try to locate the coues bucks we saw earlier.

We still hunted all the way back to camp, tent caving in was a real concern. One pole had already started collapsing so we made it just in time. On the way in we crossed fresh javelina tracks but the tag doesnt start until tomorrow. Its forecasted to snow all night until tomorrow afternoon.

Deer are going to be easier to see----that's if you can still see though all that cloud cover

Awesome live hunt guys...I've started planning my first OTC hunt in AZ for muley's for next September. The rut action makes me want to wait for the December/January hunt.

I sure am glad 2018 season is over. With a missed chip shot on a 160” NV buck this summer, a good 6 point bull that I didn’t recover in Idaho, and a deer tag soup in AZ, nothing but great things are going to happen in 2019! Happy New Years to all

I’m in good company. Won’t be without my Mystery Ranch version. I’m pretty fond of their cot as well. Both those items make for a very comfortable camp.
