I will be chasing them again this year but not till sept. Freezer has been out of bear meat for 2 years now and I am craving it.

I took my wife out over the weekend and we had a great time. This was the bear she saw on camera prior to sitting and she said that's the one! When it came in we were not even up in the tree yet. She got to see a little bit of everything. Boars chasing sows, bears sleeping on our trail, bears walking near us on the way in and then she watched this one for 20 minutes before he offered a perfect shot. I am proud of her!

Here is my hunting partner Taylor's bear. This is his first year bear hunting and he took a nice 6'er, skull will easliy make PnY which he was excited about.

It's strange that we never met prior to just recently as my father and his uncle have been best friends for over 30 years. He moved up here to Alaska back in March. It was nice having a reliable partner to help out with everything for bear season. It was a fun year, everything is wrapped up now and even washed my truck, haha.

I spent about 14 days bear hunting in the high cascades, but snow came out late. Looked like it was starting to heat up toward the end of the season, just as I was taking off for my spring bear trip to Alberta. Didn't get anything in Oregon, but got this bear that squared 6'4" on my second day in Alberta. Saw about 15 bears on my bait, but was too selective with my second tag and didn't see anything the last day. Still, was a cool trip.
