Same with WA.

.223 min caliber in OR, 6mm min caliber in WA. OR requires inspection of the skull at an ODFW office in person, WA just mailed submission of a tooth.

WA Non-Res bear only license/tag price: $222.50
WA Non-Res second bear only license/tag price: $222.50

OR Non-Res hunting license + bear tag: $172 + $16.50 = $188.50
OR Non-Res second bear tag: $16.50

Oregon is probably the way to go price wise.
Definitely price wise it looks better. How difficult is the skull checking process? Are they open weekends or do they have bankers hours ?

I have heard the process is easy, but there is only about 19 offices throughout the state so be prepared to spend a day driving to one if your not already close.

And make an appointment. You can’t just drop in and expect to get it done. I lucked out with my spring bear but go the riot act from the front desk lady.
