2013 Season (photo heavy)

I see that you did a load with the meat between frame and bag...impressions? Still like it better inside the bag?

What bag were you using for these trips?

I hate more now than before:) I was using a Bikini frame and DT3 bag, but I wasn't expecting to carry 128#'s off the mountain! We had 4 guys, but they were...um...struggling a bit, so I needed to load the DT3 full, than add another BOMB bag between the frame and bag. It was only a couple mile pack out, but if I had to do it again, I would have run to the truck, grabbed the DT1 bag and headed out with that.

As you know, you do what needs to be done when an animal is on the ground, but that pack out was definitely a rough one..... I LIKE TAKING A BIGGER BAG:)

Having said that, it does work, and if I wouldn't have filled the DT3 FULL of meat and had day gear instead, the pack out would have been fine.

Thanks for the pic line up Aron. Quite the season start. Lots left to go, I can see this thread going 20 pages long. Keep up the creative photo ideas.

Haha thanks for the reply. I'm really debating between the HC4800 and 7000. I'll probably need to call you after the season and after I get the rest of my gear dialed in so I know just how much space I'll have with camp inside the bag as well.

Looks like some great hunts! Congrats on all the success and stay safe out there!

I saw the pics on my phone and had to jump on the computer to check them out. Thanks for sharing aron. That one looks like a rough pack out, you look stoked about it! Thanks again

Appreciate the share. This gets me amped! I've got some new gear that needs to get bloodied!

You may want to look at the size and shape of the HC7000. It is like a big barrel when it's full. IMO the T1 bag will carry the weight WAY better because of the shape. Last Saturday I packed out well over 100 lbs. in my T1 and it carried very well.
