As best I can follow - Yukon hunt. Young ROAL, gut bucked off his donkey and shot at a Grizz 8 times, never hit him. But somehow his dad did……


Yep, thats me@15 with my .270...have never hunted grizz with a .270 after that trip.

Nope, 2 cree indians, no english, my dad, we all got bucked off but i pulled my .270. 8 shots, not 1 round went thru him. Surprised him on a moose kill.

The cover was my dads killed, mine was charging, died@40 yards. 2 day horse ride and 7 hour flight for help in the yukon.

Sounds to me like he's saying he hit a charging grizzly 8 times. With a 270. So he emptied his gun and reloaded all while the grizzly was "charging". He also claims 3 bullets bounced off the bears skull.
