My childhood fantasy come to life. All the old mining towns, cabins, and sheep huts I scrambled over looking for a firearm. Best I found was a plastic side grip for an Iver Johnson pocket revolver. I did pull an 1895 winchester out of one of the dumps I remediated, but it was just a long piece of rust in the shape of the barrel and action. Its also coated with dioxin, PCBs, lead, and diesel, so I am loath to clean it up and display it.
Any of you NV guys go through the Churchill county museum in Fallon? All the stuff found along the wagon trails is pretty cool.
