18” 270win Christensen

My wife recently won a Christensen evoke in 270win at a DU banquet …it has a 22” barrel.
I shoot everything suppressed and hate long rifles so I was looking at cutting it down to 18”.
Anyone done this ??
Any real world reviews on the evoke rifles ??
I swore I’d only shoot tikkas from now on….i was wanting to just trade it for a 8twist tikka 243 but my wife really likes the Evoke

Your wife won a rifle. Your wife likes the rifle. Unless she wants to cut it down I would say leave it alone and let her shoot it. It's her rifle.

Unless she’s a gun nut you can talk her into the tikka.. bring up trigger saftey. And the fact you can get an aftermarket stock similar to the evoke and lop she finds comfortable. .270 kick a bit on light rifles. I would imagine she would appreciate a .243. My 2c
