I'm looking for a pair of 15x56 binos to use primarily for range spotting out to 500-600 yards, and would like to keep it under $800. I don't plan to use these for hunting so low light performance isn't all that important. I'm currently considering

Bushnell Match Pro ED
Athlon Cronus
Burris Signature HD

I don't love the reticle that the Bushnell's have but could live with it if the glass is considerably better. Open to suggestions.

I also see some used ones for sale in the classifieds in my price range...

I volunteered on a few occasions to be a RO at PRS matches, spent several full days behind a pair of Leupold BX-5 15x56 on a tripod. They were comfortable to use, worked excellent, and the image quality/FOV was more than sufficient to spot trace, impacts, and misses. You should be able to pick up a pair close to your price range if patient. If I had $800 to spend, I'd be picking Leupold before anything you listed. Admittedly, I haven't used any of them, so take it for what it's worth.

At one of those matches, someone let me check out a pair of Meopta 15x56. In my uneducated humble opinion they were on another level for image quality as compared to the BX-5. If you could save up another $400 or so I think it would be worth waiting to get them.

I used to own a pair of Steiner 15x56. Would say the image quality was a tiny bit brighter and crisper than the BX-5's. They are not commonly on the radar in this class, and I think I remember being in them for <$1k in like new condition. The eye cups drove me absolutely insane though with their "side shield" shape, and I would not buy them again for that reason alone.
